Mushroom with Chicken Recipe
A mushroom with chicken is a great combination. Also if you prefer another kind of meat, you can try duck meat. It’s easy to prepare and does not cost much. Amaze your guests with this tasty mushroom with chicken recipe.
Ingredients
- Chicken breasts – 2 pieces, boneless
- Margarine – 2 tbsp
- Mushrooms – 4 ounces
- Cream of mushroom soup – canned
- Garlic – 1/2 clove, minced
- Thyme – 1/2 teaspoon
- Dried rosemary – 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt and pepper – to taste
Directions
Thoroughly wash the mushrooms and dry them using a clean cloth. Remove the stems. Set the caps aside but slice the stems. Set them aside
Take a covered skillet and place it over medium high heat. Add butter to the skillet and melt it. Next, add the 2 boneless chicken breasts to the butter or margarine and cook them until nicely browned. Dish out the chicken from the skillet and place on a plate. Cover them to keep warm.
Using the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté to perfection until golden brown. Add in the cream of mushroom soup, rosemary and thyme. Mix well. Add in the chicken that you had cooked earlier to the soup mix. Stir. Cover the skillet and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes. Stir from time to time. Taste and flavor with salt and pepper if needed.
Tips
This dish serves 2. You can increase the ratio of the ingredients to serve more people. The delicious dish of mushrooms and chicken will also taste great with hot rice and pasta.
